RUST IN PEACE, PART FOUR
(Did you see the sad cases in PART ONE,  TWO AND THREE?)

Oh no!!!! Use the wheels!!!! No one got injured, according to the owner!!!

Could be a spare part or two... or mayby just a badge...

The owner wrote, selling it on ebay:
This vehicle was flipped on 11/06 on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles, and is being sold for parts. This car is located in Los Angeles, CA I bought this car FULLY RESTORED in Seattle, Washington in November of 2005. I looked for the perfect Jensen on and off for 8 years and found this one through Private Sale. This car was completely restored by K and D Enterprises in Lynnwood, WA (THE premiere Jensen restoration shop in the US). It had over $18,000 in body and paint, and over $12,000 in the motor alone. This included full wiring, rebuild of the motor and Air Conditioning, hoses, wiring, even down to the brushed aluminum alternator. The Chrysler 440 V-8 motor has had less than 2,000 miles put on it since restoration. The car has MANY useable parts including, switches, lights, carpeting, console, interior, interior door panels, power window motors, dash and instruments, Chrysler 440 motor, rear end, 3 good original tires (!) and perfect wiring (VERY RARE, thank you very much Lucas Electrics...) I am in the process of switching out the seats with a 1972 Jensen I recently bought, but the seats from the '72 are in good shape, the front could use a reupholstering, though. I also have taken the transmission and the radiator from this car for my new one. THIS CAR HAS MANY LIKE NEW USABLE PARTS AND IS A GREAT FIND FOR ANYONE LOOKING TO RESTORE A JENSEN. (And for Chrysler owners: These cars came stock with Mopar drive trains including either 383 or 440 V8's so you would be purchasing a rebuilt 1973 Chrysler 440 w/ functioning A/C.)
These cars are getting extremely rare, with only 6,150 being ever made, and with jerks like me flipping them on the freeway. You gotta ship or come and strip, this car doesn't even roll due to collaped front right tire.
I am only listing this for 5 days, as it's gotta be out of the shop it's at by Friday.

On Dec-11-06 at 16:17:49 PST, seller added the following information:
I spoke with Keri at K&D today to get some information and history on this car and she informed me that all the work was NOT done at K&D. The body and paint was from another vendor. I should mention that the interior was and is original, although a very prime example of a well cared for original. I should also mention exactly what I plan to take off the car: 1. The transmission (already done) 2. The dashboard switch panel (lights, etc.) 3. the alternator 4. possibly the A/C unit (?) 5. The wiring harness fuse box 6. The right power window motor. 7. The wiper fluid reservoir. ANOTHER NOTE: I left the radiator intact, as it wouldn't switch out with my new Jensen, so disregard previous description that I took it out, I did not. Feel free to call me and I will go over exactly what is in the car and what is salvageable and what shape the parts are in. Again, I would hate to see all this stuff go to waste...

Ebay is the place for rotten cars, as well as some of the best.
You could by this beaty in the states in april 2007.
Or... rather wait until you find a slightly better sample of the breed...
This is an Interceptor MK II, bare metal, before it was left.
Anyone still against death penalty?
The best tip: Sell her before she dies!

If you own two classic Jensen Healey. Where would you put them?

Nice rebuild!?

Well if, you though that was bad, what about this one...!?

Or this one! Thank God classic cars can be stored anywhere!
Or at lest they thought so, putting it there...

This guy in the states sold 5 Interceptors on to European buyers from dry California to, early in 2006!
Some quite good. This is the wreck of them:

The seller writes to us:
All Jensen's where sold directly from us to buyers in Europe.
As the cars where in a dry desert climate the rust
was minor but the paintwork, rubber and other "soft" parts needed attention.
I personally liked the 76 maroon convertible best.
Best regards Michael Stuben

Sad looking American Jensen Healey MK I

MK I Interceptor, in need of a new bonnet...

Hurts to see another MK I Interceptor

Not too much to do about this one either...

Only a cat is interested in this one...

Once a beautiful Jensen Healey MK I...

Pictures says it all... Wrong place for a Jensen...

At least there could be some spares... ehh... not even the colour, you say...?

Start searching for a new roof...

Wonder what's been done to this one in the past...

Spare eninge, anyone?

This is the sad sight of a Interceptor MK III found on ebay.
The seller, "Addamann1978" says:
1973 Jensen Interceptor MK III stored since july 1998. The car has black leather interior which is in good condition.
It also has alloy wheels and white wall tyres. I do know that it is missing the rear bumper and the badges and will require welding i do.
I have taken the car out of the garage today, and gave her a wash. I put a battery and some petrol in the tank and it started up. So it now starts drives and stops. It will obviously need a service and a tune up. There is a big hole in the boot. Drivers side the body will need work, on the arches rear valance and sills as seen in the photos.
it is sitting on a very good set of matching tyres. the seats have no rips in them but will need a clean polish.
!

The car, by the way, four days before the car was sold, it had several bidders, and was then going for £ 1.020!

This is the sad sight of 125/5310 found on ebay.
The seller, "PontiacPaul444" says:
I have this 1971 Jensen Interceptor that has collected dust for a long time. Its bone stock with the 440 motor and all the accessories. I couldnt tell you whether it runs or not as I bought it to build a street rod out of and never got started. I was told it ran soundly but wont bank on it. The oil is good in the motor however and it did turn over when parked. If looking for one to restore or parts car this is perfect. It has all the stuff on it and the glass, chrome and much if not all of the interior and exterior is there. Im selling it with no reserve , any questions feel free to ask. AND YES.. that was a small tree sprout that grew up between the exhaust manifold and block!! I left it there for the fun of it!

The car, by the way, was sold for $ 1.275!

Ny way to treat a jensen!

This car was for sale on ebay in 2006...

Here you can see what could have been tragedy's!

Another one - A GT-tragedy!

This CV-8 is being rescued!

A basketcase, or savable?

And this FF, which has been treated badly in Maryland, USA, is being saved!!!
More about it here!

Do you have a rotting Jensen?
Have you seen a lost case?
Rot is just a side of owning a car. Sad but true.
Please let the world know! Email us a picture or two.
Undoubtfully it's sad, but it's still a sign of the times, and a good warning for others.
Jensens in the late lives is still worth to be remembered. Rust never sleeps...

Other Jensens in their late ages:
http://www.users.bigpond.com/tfmuch/article_FF.htm (Rotten FF at the bottom!)

Therefore - the moral is:
Let a enthusiast take care of the car before it comes beyond repair.
When you don't have the money to fix the car up anymore,
or you don't have the courage or the heralth, hand the car over, sell it, save it!
NEVER let it rot so that these great cars wynd up as only a memory!
